But, if you somehow have missed this earth-shattering news, fret not! We are getting down and dirty into all things clarifying your curls clean!
First things first: what is clarifying shampoo?
A clarifying shampoo is simply a shampoo that contains chelating ingredients. These ingredients remove the junk from your hair way better than normal shampoos, making it more effective and giving you that deep clean your curls need to reset.
So, who needs to clarify?
Literally, everyone. Regular clarifying can truly solve so many hair issues, trust us (and see below).
But, why should everyone clarify?
Clarifying is the only way to let our hair start from scratch. Our hair is like a sponge, and absorbs all the products we constantly put on it. Without properly resetting it, these absorbed products can cause so.many.issues.
Fine - but how often should I clarify?
This one can get tricky! How often you should be clarifying is dependent on so many things, including your hair type and what clarifying shampoo you are using! To know when you should clarify, listen to your hair (aka use Intuitive Curl Care, trademarked by CurlVitality) and look for signs from your hair like: wet frizz, wonky curls, frizz at roots, greasy roots, or hair that stops curling and you don’t know why! BUT - on average, 1-3 times a month!
Okay, where can I get a clarifying shampoo?
So many places! Basically - anywhere clarifying shampoos are sold! They will typically say “clarifying” or “detox” shampoo on the front!
